Our Story

Our programs are the next step in our effort to give back and build a stronger, diverse data community.  We are strongly female led, proudly BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic ) owned enterprise.

GET INTO DATA is a social enterprise born out of the idea – We soft-launched on the women’s day :). As a pilot, we ran a free boot camp style program with training and mentoring for people to start on their data careers. This is a program sponsored by Aster Social Housing.

GET INTO DATA has been working on a passion project for a couple of years now – to enable and foster data and digital careers.

We believe that these are skills of the future and that everybody should have access to them. Also, I would like a lot more women in data ( we are at less than 17% in the UK atm).

The idea is to demystify the tech bits around data, provide training and mentoring as a way unto robust career paths ( these are strong career paths, not just jobs). And there is a massive skills shortage with loads of jobs available. So win-win !!!

We want people from all ages, genders, ethnicities. We want to talk to and reach people who wouldn’t have traditionally considered digital and data careers. We want to show everyone how awesome data is. We are run fully by data experts who volunteer their time to train and mentor. A boot camp like this would cost in thousands if you look around.

Founder

"This is the help that I wish I had when I wanted to return to work."

Before she ventured into GET INTO DATA, she was a returner herself. Thanks to her core tech skills & data, she has  been an advisor with several organisations (Cherie Blair, STEMNet) and has mentored several women back into work. She has volunteered at several returners program. She believes in the industry coming together to share expertise to increase our impact exponentially.
